Contractual Questions...

Q. How long are the myWebteam contracts?
Each plan lasts for a 12 month period.

Q. How is the maintenance billed?
All work is billed in 15 minute increments.

Q. How does the 3 month trial work?
As an introductory offer – try our service for 3 months and if you are not entirely satisfied just let us know and we will cancel the remainder of the annual subscription without charge.

Q. What does the credit mean?
We will always give you 3 months worth of hours up front to use if you need to.

Q. How do I apply/qualify for the Free Hosting?
If you sign up to either the Webteam75 or Webteam125 service you will be entitled to our FREE hosting service. All you need to do is inform you existing supplier of the change (if you would like help with this please ask us).

Q. After I have signed up when can I start using the service?
Immediately – once we have received the first months payment you will receive your login and password and can start making requests. Don’t forget, to enable us to up load the changes we will need your FTP user name and password.

Q. How much web space do I have?
You will have space up to 100 MB, unless otherwise agreed.

Q. Who owns the content that is updated, Meridian or the client?
Client.

Q. What about unused hours?
All unused hours for any month are carried over to the next month. However, hours cannot be carried over from year to year.

Q. Can I cancel the service if I wish?
Yes, we only require written notice of cancellation, However, you will be charged for pre-paid services unless eligible for a refund as explained in our standard terms and conditions.

Service Questions...

Q. How do I go about making a change or update to my site?
There are 2 simple ways you can do this:-

1. Call us and tell us the change and we will log this on the CTS (Change Tracking System).

2. Or, via our web site, simply login with your user name and password that we will have supplied you with and make your request online – it’s as easy as sending an email.

Q. How long will a request take?
We will email you with an estimate of how long your request will take, and will go ahead with that request unless we hear from you telling us not to proceed.

Q. How do I know when my request has been completed?
With the CTS system you can check on the progress of your request 24 hours a day. We also email you confirmation when complete and ask for your authorisation to upload the change.

Q. Can I approve the changes before the site goes live?
Yes – we will email you confirmation that the changes have been made and you will be asked to approve this before we upload the site. We will provide you with a secure url for previewing any changes.

Q. How is maintenance billed?
All our work is billed in fifteen minute increments.

Q. Between what hours is this service available?
You can make a request online anytime of the day 7 days a week. If you are telephoning with a request the hours of service will be 9.00am – 5.30pm.

Q. Can another person update my site other than Meridian?
Yes - anyone can update your site, but it is preferable that they let us know what changes they have made.

Q. Can we use hours in advance?
Yes, you can use up to 24 hours in advance.

Q. What can we use our maintenance hours for?

The uses are many; they include content updating, Flash design, web page design, search engine optimisation and online marketing & research.

Q. How many User Logins can I have?
You can have as many as you need, but please keep the Login details safe.

Q. Does the hosting come with an email POP3 account or webmail?
Yes - POP3 or SMTP mailboxes.

Q. Can we put video on our web site?
Yes.

Technical Questions...

Q. How do I give you access to my web site?
All we need is your FTP user name and password - the person who at present uploads your web site will have this.

Q. Security?
Your web site is protected by the latest security measures including firewalls and anti-virus software and you will also be given a login and password unique to you for Audit Trailing.

Q. What happens if my site is down?
If an error occurs due to a change Meridian has made the call/request will be put on Top Priority and we will deal with it as a matter of urgency

Q. Does it matter what Operating System I am using?
No not at all.

Q. How do I change my domain name to read from Meridian's server if I am hosting with Meridian? (e.g DNS settings)
You will need to alter your DNS setting, but we can help you do this.
